If you wanted to make the definitive release, you should’ve used the older BD from Image (USA)/Umbrella (Australia)/Manga UK (UK), as it’s a better encode with less macroblocking.
Look at the shot of Spike that you have to show it off. His jacket is full of macroblocking not present on the older BD. If I were looking to make a definitive edition, I’d use the Image encode and add in FUNi’s TrueHD audio. FUNi suck at video compression and encoding, so no wonder the old release is better.
